5 Simple Ways to Maintain Your Focus During the Autumn and Winter Months

The clocks going back an hour on the last Sunday in October officially marks the end of British Summertime. It also marks the official start of a new season. Unlike the start of spring which for many inspires new beginnings, the start of autumn tends to represent a time when people start to shut down. As people prepare for the short, dark days and long cold nights in, it can be tempting to take their focus off their goals and allow bad habits to creep back in.

Here are 5 simple ways you can  maintain your focus on your goals throughout the autumn and winter months:

–          Review your goals for the next six months and work out what action you need to take between now and spring.

–          Identify any season related obstacles that may prevent you from meeting your goals. E.g. if your goal is to lose two stone by March 2013 by jogging after work, how will the weather and nights getting darker earlier affect your training plans?
